Appin Historical Society meets on the third Saturday each month except in June, July and August, usually in Port Appin Hall, with field trips in spring and autumn.  Some meetings and field trips are restricted to members.  We are at Appin Agricultural Show on the third Saturday of August, when we are pleased to meet prospective and existing members and friends.   Two magazines - The Appin Archive - are published annually.  These are also available for sale to non-members.

Membership is open to all at a cost of £10 for individual members and £15 for two people at the same address.   This entitles attendance at all meetings and field trips, usually without further charge, and a copy of each Appin Archive published in November and May during the year of membership.   The year starts on 1 August, when membership fees are due.     We welcome members from all over the world and are able to accept payment via PayPal.  If you have not registered with PayPal, it is simplicity itself and will cost you nothing!  Please see 'Online Shop' for details.

As we do not employ a genealogist, we regret that we cannot undertake genealogical research on behalf of people wishing to trace their ancestors.  However, you may use the Forum page on this website as an aid to your research, if you wish.
